One product, four surfaces, and every one of them free. Windows and macOS carry the full annotation and dataset workflow fully offline with bundled default engines. WebGPU-gated models are offered in Windows, macOS and compatible desktop browsers with a working adapter. The web app takes seconds with nothing to install; iPhone & iPad cover annotating on the go.

Free on every platform

All four builds are free — desktop adds offline work and local automation

Web, Windows, macOS and iPhone & iPad are free to use: no account, no sign-up, no trial period and no subscription. Nothing is time-limited, nothing is watermarked, and there is no project limit on any platform.

Windows and macOS add the local REST API, and bundle the default AI engines so the core assistance needs no first download. Windows and macOS offer SAM 2.1 Large, SAM 3 Tracker and Grounding DINO with a working WebGPU adapter, as does the web app in a compatible browser.

Compare all four platforms

Engine availability also depends on hardware and runtime: mobile omits downloadable engines, while Windows, macOS and compatible desktop browsers offer SAM 2.1 Large, SAM 3 Tracker and Grounding DINO with a working WebGPU adapter.

Every build is the same local-first product

  • No account and no sign-up
  • Datasets, media, labels and annotations stay on your device
  • Export COCO, YOLO, Pascal VOC, Datumaro, Supervisely Video, MOT, MOTS, KITTI and Plain ZIP; import the standard ones
  • Dataset versions, quality checks, splits and activity history — free on every tier
  • Free everywhere: unlimited projects on web, Windows, macOS and iPhone & iPad

Common questions

Which build should I pick?

Pick Windows or macOS for fully offline sessions, bundled default engines, desktop-only extras and store-managed updates. SAM 2.1 Large, SAM 3 Tracker and Grounding DINO are available in Windows, macOS and compatible desktop browsers with a working WebGPU adapter. iPhone and iPad are best as a companion away from a desk.

Is every platform free?

Yes. The web app, the Windows and macOS builds and the iPhone & iPad app all cost nothing to use — there is no account, no trial period, no subscription and no project limit, and every annotation tool, every bundled AI engine, all the dataset-management features and every import and export format are included. There is currently no paid upgrade.

What can I not do on iPhone and iPad?

The mobile builds run only the small built-in AI engines. The heavy downloadable engines, the Models page, custom ONNX import, semantic search and the text-prompt tools are unavailable, and uploads are capped at 32 MiB per image, 128 MiB or 10 minutes per video and 128 MiB per imported archive. That is a memory limit of the mobile WebView, not a licensing choice. The annotation workflow, every project type, unlimited projects, dataset versions, quality checks, splits and the same dataset annotation formats remain available. Image/video decoding still depends on the installed build and its codecs, with first-still, frame-timing and decoding limits described in the media documentation.

Does the web version work offline?

Once the app and the models you use are cached, annotation work runs locally. The native builds are the best choice for fully offline sessions.

Do the native apps phone home?

Annotation stores projects locally without an account. Desktop and mobile builds contain no analytics or telemetry; the website and web app use cookieless page analytics without project content. Optional AI Assistant sends chat context and the attached image/frame, labels and annotation context to the selected provider (OpenAI or Anthropic), and optional ML jobs send selected dataset bundles to your configured runner.

Pick your platform and start annotating

Install a native build — or skip the install entirely and open the web app.
