Free Support

Every AnnotateIt user — on the free plan or otherwise — has access to the documentation and in-app help, the public issue tracker below, and email support at the address above. Free requests are answered on a best-effort basis. Bug reports, security reports and privacy requests are always handled for everyone, regardless of plan.

Current availability and previous purchases

The current product is free and no paid upgrade is offered. For support, email umno.annotateit@gmail.com with your app version, platform and a description of the issue.

If your question concerns a previous store purchase, mention the store and purchase reference in your email. You do not need a License section in Settings to contact support.

Public Issue Tracker

Reproducible bugs, feature requests and import or export problems can be filed publicly at github.com/AnnotateIt-AI/annotateit-community, which also holds the public release notes and roadmap. The issue forms there ask for the details listed below. Note that issues are public: keep private datasets, user images and personal information out of them, and report security vulnerabilities by email instead.

What to Include

  • AnnotateIt version and build number.
  • Platform, browser and operating-system version.
  • Project type and import or export format, when relevant.
  • Exact error text and minimal steps to reproduce the issue.

Do not attach a private dataset by default. Reproduce the problem with a synthetic or redacted sample whenever possible. If project content is required, ask us to agree a secure transfer method first.

Support Request Retention

Support messages and attachments are retained for up to 24 months after the last correspondence, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may request earlier deletion where applicable.

FAQ

  • Where is my data stored? Projects, media and annotations are stored on your device or in browser-managed local storage.
  • Do local AI tools upload my images? No. The web version downloads model files, then performs inference on your device.
  • Can browser data be lost? Yes. Clearing site data, private-browsing cleanup, storage eviction or reinstalling the app can remove local projects. Export important projects regularly.
  • Can I export my annotations? Yes. Available formats depend on the project type.
