AnnotateIt 6.6.5

Rotation, polylines and a quieter annotatorReleased on the web

Shape editing gains a rotation handle for polygons and polylines, instance segmentation projects gain an open-line tool, and pose estimation moves to its own tool in the annotator rail. Saving no longer interrupts: moving to the next item stores the work silently.

Added

  • Polyline tool in instance segmentation projects, for open lines such as roads, cracks and wiring.
  • Rotation handle for polygons and polylines in the edit tool — the rotation is baked into the points, so every export format carries it.
  • Auto-pose is now its own tool in the annotator rail: draw a box around a person and the skeleton is placed on the template.
  • Copy a dataset from the dataset menu, with its media, labels and annotations.
  • Frame annotations are carried onto extracted images when extracting frames from a video.
  • Delete every annotation on a media item from its Information dialog.

Improved

  • Moving to the next item saves silently — no confirmation step between annotations.
  • Sample projects behave like any other project: export, duplicate and dataset actions are all available.
  • The one-click and interactive segmentation tools return editable polygons by default.

These notes track the web app at app.annotateit.ai, which is where a release goes live first. The Windows and macOS builds are the same product and pick up this work once each store has reviewed it, on their own schedule; the iPhone & iPad builds run a reduced feature set, so not everything here reaches them at all. Every store shows the version it is currently offering, and that can be well behind the web version. What differs by platform.
